Products Updates
Notes
Pretty much everything related to WooCommerce has been removed. It can easily be added back if/when needed.
I added the following plugins:
Yoast Duplicate Post
Yoast Duplicate Post allows users to clone pages/posts to new drafts for further editing.
Adding Products
Products are a custom post type with two associated taxonomies (categories), Feed Type and Feed Subtype.
Feed Type
In the WordPress admin menu, visit Products > Feed Type
These have been setup already but if you ever need to add more, this is where you’ll do it.
Each Feed Type needs a Name, Description and Feed Type Image added.
Feed Subtype
In the WordPress admin menu, visit Products > Feed Subtype
These have been setup already but if you ever need to add more, this is where you’ll do it.
Each Feed Subtype needs a Name. That’s all.

Add New Product
I’ve created a New Product Master and left it drafted. The simplest way to add products is to clone the master draft and edit it.
- Edit page title. This dynamically changes the Title block in the columns below.
- Go over to the right sidebar and scroll down to edit the featured image. This will update the large image in the columns.
- Edit the Feed Type (still in the sidebar). Start typing in the box to see options.
- Edit the Feed Subtype (still in the sidebar). Start typing in the box to see options.
- Now, over to the columns (content area). Edit the Item # and the text below.
- Add a link to the sales sheet. If there isn’t one, this can be removed.
Now, we have a couple special items to cover.
First, the request more information button. Notice the link url…
https://hueberfeed.com/cpt/request-a-quote/?product_title=Commodity Creep B60
This will remain unchanged except for what is after the = (equal sign). You’ll want to add the product title here as demonstrated above. This is what populates the form field with what product a quote is being requested on.
Unfortunately, this is a single item per quote type of scenario. Multiple items cannot be added to the quote form at this time.
Next, the images in the left column.
The large, main image, is the featured image. This image was changed above and does not need to be edited here in the block. It will update automatically. If you aren’t seeing it update, try saving and refreshing.
The smaller images below are a plain gallery. Edit the images in the gallery like you would any other gallery.
